Bard, Weaver

Chinzan's parents were from Doma, and had already had Chinzan's older brother Munehiko Kusushi. Through a series of events Chinzan is born in Hingashi, and sadly their parents die soon after that. Chinzan is adopted by a Hyur family of minor nobility, but that family turns out to be incredibly neglectful towards Chinzan, leading them to develop a number of ailments of body and mind. At the age of 12, they become a shikomi (first step to becoming a geisha) at their mother's behest. They debut as a maiko at age 13 and are very happy for a while, but as they get older they start to develop more "masculine" features—enough to make their okiya decree they can no longer work there. Chinzan's mother doesn't accept this, and instead arranges private training for Chinzan herself. They are taught various instruments, singing, needlework, poetry, etc. and begin regularly traveling to Kugane to perform in recitals to "make the family proud" and earn some money. When Chinzan is 18 their father arranges a marriage for them and Chinzan is so distraught they end up stowing away on one of the few clandestine ships coming and leaving Hingashi and end up in Othard. They journey to the Azim Steppe and are taken in by the Malaguld tribe and live with them for 2 years, especially with Labakha Haragin and Luvsaan Qalli (note: my other main xiv ocs) and learn the arts of riding, archery, hunting, etc. After those 2 years something snaps in them and they make another clandestine journey to Hingashi, and they quickly dispatch every member of their family and burn down their manor. They quickly leave again but this time, wracked by guilt and fear, they leave the east completely and travel westward to Eorzea. At some point in the future they meet Lunar and Papaya. Some other future events include them reuniting with their brother in Yanxia.
